Kevin in Iceland

My research mainly consists of designing automated machine learning systems for data analysis. In the last few years my focus has been to derive the algebra and calculus of questions, and understand their relation to information theory.

I am interested in both applications:

  • intelligent instruments
  • information-theoretic analysis of earth climate data
  • modeling planetary nebula (like the one on the bottom left)
  • blind source separation of mixed signals
  • estimation of evoked responses in EEG signals

and the theoretical foundations of the approaches I employ:

  • probability theory
  • order theory (lattice theory)
  • nonlinear dynamics
  • differential geometry
