Viz 2.3.0 Distribution

Great new features have been added to Viz! This release of Viz takes advantage of the hardware accelerated shadows maps available on Nvidia and other graphics cards to allow the user to view shadows cast by the terrain, rover, and every other object in the simulated environment. Used in combination with lambertian surface modeling and the automatic sun positioning feature, this new resource makes visualizing lighting conditions a snap! Also included in this release is an expanded user interface for color mapping (elevation and slope maps), preliminary support for the VISTA file format, and generalized vectors for showing the direction to the sun, another planet, a moon, or even a spacecraft -- from any point in the environment.

As the second release to the MER Project, this distribution of Viz is accompanied by a full set of documentation including: Installation Notes, Release Notes, an updated User's Guide, and a copy of the pre-release Test Plan.
